Mozilla Firefox

Firefox is flexible, fast and secure. There are thousands of add-ons available making it the most customisable browser out there. Available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Google’s Chrome is another fast and reliable browser. It’s built on the same WebKit technology as Apple Safari and is available for windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

FTP Clients

Cyberduck

Cyberduck (Mac OS X only, although there is a Windows version in the works) is our favourite file transfer program here at Lektriq. Cyberduck’s easy to use and has support for a wide variety of protocols inclding FTP, SFTP and WebDAV.

Text Editors

TextWrangler

This Mac OS X text editor is what we use here at Lektriq, it has another more fully-featured (not free) sibling called BBEdit, but we have now been using Text Wrangler for years with no complaints.
